Worthy of Sharing: Azodicarbonamide

Azodicarbonamide is a chemical compound primarily used in foamed plastics.

Yesterday on Facebook I posted this link http://healthland.time.com/2011/10/27/why-lovin-the-mcrib-isnt-a-heart-smart-idea/ about the McRib sandwich and it’s use of azodicarbonamide in the bun. Point being that it is used in a lot of breads.

One of our Facebook friends, Ellen, then shared this link http://adventofdeception.com/bromide-bread-azodicarbonamide/ which let us know that they use this crap in Subway bread. We don’t do fast food a lot but on road trips with a little vegan Subway was considered a vegan friendly option that is found everywhere. They will now be scratched off our list.
