My Blogging Aspirations

Vegan MOFO: Day 16
An Ode to Vegan Bloggers

As I mentioned in an earlier MOFO post prior to reading Vegan Dad’s blog I had very little knowledge of what a blog was all about. I started it as a way to record recipes and it grew into more. With this lack of knowledge about the blog world it came as quite a surprise to me during last years MOFO what amazing photographers many of the bloggers were, especially since I have taken a rather lazy route by not planning better, running out of time and taking the pictures last-minute with my camera phone.

I would like to take a moment to give a shout out to some blogs with great photographs and recipes. Blogs I aspire to be more like. I started with yesterday’s post where I actually got up early to get the natural light, pulled out my real camera and wiped the dust off it. If you are interested, you may see the pic here. This is going to take some serious dedication and these will be the blogs I go to look at when I need motivation!

Shout outs go to:
Ripe
Suburban Vegan
But Yes…I do eat potatoes
Vegan Yack Attack
Carrie on Vegan

If I have missed a blog that I need to check out please share!

  1. Aw! Thank you so much for including me on your list! You definitely should check out vkreesphotography.com, ohladycakes.com, and keepinitkind.com (although her husband takes her pictures. ;))

Thanks for the shout out. Taking pictures is the hardest part of a food blog. For amazing food photography (and equally good recipes), I would recommend http://bittersweetblog.wordpress.com, http://ohsheglows.com, and http://blog.fatfreevegan.com/

Omg thanks so much! This is funny because I’m always intimidated by others’ pics as well. (I often run out of time too). It has challenged me a lot though (in a good way), and I’ve become wayyy better at food photography. Check out Adobe Lightroom too! It’s awesome and pretty easy to use.
