Day 5 – Salt & Seasoning Collection

Salt is so ubiquitous as to be almost unremarkable right. Its in every kitchen in the world and it tends to be white (though other colors are becoming common).  What else is there to say?  After a quick trip to the wiki page, turns out Salt has kind of an interesting history.

But you’re not here to get a Cliff’s Note’s version of the ultimate Cliff Notes on the history of salt, you want to know about today’s gift.  Well kids, today’s gift is pretty cool.  It is a 10 Grinder Variety Collection of Salt & Seasonings courtesy of the good folks at DFV.

Salts include:  Himalayan Pink Salt; Tropical Pepper Sea Salt(SS); Lemon, Thyme, Bay Leaf SS; Edible Flowers SS; and a Chili & Smoked Garlic SS.

Seasonings are South African Smoked Seasonings; Rainbow Peppercorns; Lemon Peppercorns and for the sweet tooth a Sugar, Chocolate Coffee Bean mix and Cinnamon & Sugar.  There’s something for everybody!
